Is buying PLR material really worth the time and trouble? Well the answer is it depends on what you want to do with it. If you use it as a basis of research then it can be a real time saver if you actually buy quality content written by someone who has researched the topic well and has written original content.
The quality varies very much with private label rights material and this is normally reflected in the price. If the quality is poor, then it is probably better to either write the material yourself or outsource the writing because to make use of low quality PLR writing will mean extensive rewriting before it can be used effectively.
The amount of material available has grown very in recent years and the number of membership sites also has exploded in numbers, the quality and prices of these sites vary greatly.
Some of the points to consider with private label rights products are the number of people that will have access to the products; you will have probably seen the same material being offered by hundreds if not thousands of marketers actually making the products worthless. You see exactly the same sales page and products all the time being sold for a few dollars.
The correct way to actually benefit from this type of material is to get new graphics made, write or have a new sales page written and to make changes to the text, alter the name of the book and chapters. With some work like this the product becomes more valuable as it is different to the same material seen everywhere despite the material may be the same or similar.
There are various ways to make money with PLR material, for example if you write or have ghostwritten an eBook for example you could offer this for sale to a limited number of people so keeping the value higher. You could offer new graphics and ecovers for each buyer so this would be even more attractive to any buyers.
You could have a membership where you would offer limited copies one or two books a month complete with sales letter and graphics, the options are great as to what you are able to do. The problem with many memberships is that the same material is available to hundreds of people and depending on the rights of the membership this can reach thousands of thousands quickly.
All of the tasks such as writing, producing the graphics, getting a sales letter can be outsourced, the question to consider is do you consider the results will be worth the effort and initial costs if you decide to take this route. If you try to do everything yourself, then you are limited by your time and the skills you have to carry out each step.
